Sharing credible sources with students and public library users

Encourage the use of vetted databases as a primary information source. Provide curated lists of reliable information providers. Post charts of media bias. Information literacy ads could be posted on social media among the populations that are most susceptible to accepting disinformation as the truth. Posters such as one of Abe Lincoln with a quote next to it,

Hi Dhaivyd and Jessie:

I like this idea as a way to move beyond the "usual suspects" -- the people who actively seek to find out whether information is correct. This meme approach could pull in the unusual suspects!

While I do love a picture with a quote, that is a tactic that is sometimes used for misinformation. Perhaps we could find a way to use those posters to expose that tactic! Maybe have several choices and ask users to find the one that is misattributed? It would be both visual, in the style of a meme, and interactive!
